I thought that I would share a creative process that I did to deal with the limiting beliefs or scrambles inside my mind.

Hey – you may have some limiting beliefs that keep you stuck or afraid of doing something, just like me.
Positive thinking alone will not get you to where you want to go.

First, it’s crucial to acknowledge and allow your critic out through drawing and writing. Then you can shift gears and allow your opposite or positive thoughts and feelings to flow.

Here are some steps to deal with limiting beliefs:

1. Write down your intention. It could be a question you want an answer to, or a statement.

2. Take a pencil and scribble your response on a white piece of paper, or in a drawing journal. You’ll find that you fluctuate between negative and affirming thoughts and feelings. Let stream of consciousness occur.

3. With a black marker draw your face without lifting your pen. Ok you can lift your pen off the paper if you have to. You’ll notice it will be a simple almost childlike image. As you draw your face, allow what you wrote to resonate. You can also add some more affirming thoughts as they come through.

4. Take some watercolor paint or watered down acrylic paint. Color in the face in one color and choose a different color for the background. While you paint feel the words that you have written in your body. Breathe!!!!!

If you would like more steps and other ways to creatively deal with life’s questions, let’s talk.
